Accommodation

Istanbul Aydın University, in order to see to it that the university students stay in a peaceful, secure, comfortable, pleasant and hygienic atmosphere, has made an agreement with a large number of private dormitories and housing facilities in In the vicinity of university campuses. They provide our students with accommodation alternatives such as single, double, triple, and suite rooms at affordable rates.

Due to Istanbul Aydın University’s central location, there are a lot of private dormitories which can be found around it. Some of these dormitories are for male students only, some of them are for female students only and some of them are mixed.

Food

Between 5000 and 6000 students a day are served meals in two main canteens and 5 cafeterias at Istanbul Aydın University, all with a wide physical area to meet the needs of all types of food and beverages for our students. Students also have the possibility of eating fast food. Currently a total of 150 staff are servicing in the canteens and cafeterias. Meals are prepared daily in our kitchen in accordance with hygienic regulations.

Hygienic control and HACCP control (a type of product reliability system) are regularly made by our university management. Fixed menu or personal choices are possible. Meal prices are determined by school and cafeteria management. You can also listen to music, watch TV or play chess in our cafeterias.

Sport Opportunities

In Istanbul Aydın University, a great number of sports activities, which are pioneered by the Center of Health, Culture and Sports, are held with the co-operation of Student’s Council and clubs besides the activities done regularly and in a planned way.

Istanbul Aydın University, which is interested in many fields of sport, has several champi-onships in arm wrestling, bowling, basketball,and also has been taking place into positions of representing Turkey abroad.

The aim of sport activities is to help students spend their free time according to their interests, become more interested in sports, to contribute to their body and mental health, to support and encourage their abilities, to develop their social relationships by producing, sharing and creating solutions.

Football, bowling, volleyball, table tennis, chess and arm wrestling teams, which were established with the contributions of our students, attend not only the matches in the university itself, but also the ones among other universities.

Library

Istanbul Aydın University Information Center was established in the Academic Year 2003-2004 with the objective of supporting the education and research activities of our university and supplying the need of information and documentation.

Istanbul Aydın University Information Center aims to meet the requirement of information as quickly as possible at maximum level by supporting modern library services with the latest technological developments. Acting with this purpose, the Information Center collects and organises different environments and increases knowledge in an expeditious way and puts them into service of users.

Istanbul Aydın University Information Center collection consists of domestic and foreign publications covering subjects of specialisation for departmental programs, as well as periodicals, reference sources, professional publications, CDs and voice tapes. In addition, computers with internet connectivity have been put into service for our users in order to support academic research.
