Abstract

Maltepe University is to provide “thinking education” to students and to present them scientific thought as a contemporary world-view. University produces projects related to the present and the future of the society, they try to transform the society in line with the expectations of the age and carry it to the future. All these purposes can only be achieved with qualified education and scientific research.

Maltepe University was established in 1997 by Marmara Educational Institution which was established in 1991 by Hüseyin Şimşek, with the motto of "From Kindergarten to University".

Accommodation

Maltepe University's dormitory consists of three floors, has two apartments on each floor, two rooms side by side with its own bathroom in the middle section. In our rooms; There is a bed, wardrobe, shelves, bookcase, coat rack, desk and work chair for each student. All rooms have a refrigerator and unlimited wireless internet connection.

The apartments, each flat consists of 4 rooms, have a table and chair set and kitchen unit for common use. The common areas are cleaned daily by a professional team. Bathrooms in the rooms are cleaned every two days.

Food

Maltepe University's refectory serves with its fully equipped kitchen and professional team in hygiene rules. Our students can benefit from the dining hall all year round by purchasing full-board, half-board and menus with only one meal option or with prepaid cards that they can use whenever they want. Apart from the dining hall, there are cafes and restaurants within the various faculties that provide a variety of dining options. If requested, cafeterias and restaurants on our campus can serve orders up to the dormitory entrance doors of students.

Sport Opportunities

Maltepe University offers a natural sports field for our students, a free walking track, a full Olympic size swimming pool and basketball-football fields free of charge. Our students benefit from the fitness center, indoor and outdoor tennis courts at a discounted rate.

Library

The Library and Information Center in Maltepe University, which are located at equal distance to the academic units and dormitories of our university, has a closed area of ​​5,280 square meters, considering all working areas. It has a seating capacity of 940 people, a computer room with 50 computers, 4 group study rooms, reading rooms, periodicals hall and social areas.

In the Library and Information Center, nearly 200,000 books, more than 8,000,000 electronic books, more than 30,000 different printed journals, more than 120,000 electronic journals, master's project theses and doctoral dissertations published within our university, more than 500 million electronic resource available.
