Accommodation

Dormitories located in Işık University Şile Campus are becoming more and more popular each year. Işık University dormitories, which also have units with Sea and Forest views, not only allow students to build their individual worlds, but also encourage community solidarity. Our dormitories have a total bed capacity of 1455, for 1, 3, and 4 people, in 16 buildings. There are 4 rooms that our students with special needs can use.

Dormitory personnel are responsible for monitoring the on-site and on-time resolution of student demands and identified problems on a 24/7 basis and providing general inspection of the dormitories.

Only students who have completed their registration, meaning who have paid their deposit fee + first semester fee, and completed their registration form will be able to apply with their student email addresses.

Food

There is a student cafeteria at Işık University's Şile campus, where students can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meanwhile, the cafeteria, with a capacity of 1500, is open 7 days a week.

Youth Camp Restaurant, which is located on the coastline of Işık University, is available for our students and academic staff that would like to have lunch with an ocean view. Different activities can also take place during the evenings and weekends at this restaurant.

Sport Opportunities

When it comes to physical activities our campus is not lacking. With our facilities ranging from football fields, tennis courts, basketball fields, volleyball fields and a Fitness and Sport Centre we have everything you need. Library

Işık University Library meets the educational and research needs of the students, faculty and staff of Işık University. Its resources are also available, under specific conditions, to individuals not affiliated with Işık University.

The Library collects books, magazines, journals, and newspapers as well as non-print materials, such as CD-ROMS, video-cassettes, audio cassettes and slides. The Library also subscribes to a number of online databases.

Books in the library are shelved according to the Library of Congress classification system. 

You must show a valid student, faculty, or staff ID card in order to borrow materials. Reference materials, periodicals and government documents do not circulate. Other materials can be borrowed and renewed on or before the due date. Loan periods vary depending on the status of the borrower.
